Yesterday, a friend and I spent an hour and a half walking around
Otari-Wilton's Bush a native botanic garden and forest reserve nestled in the outer suburbs of Wellington. Otari is unique in that it's the only botanic garden in New Zealand devoted entirely to native plants. I haven't been there for quite a few years, (no excuse) and really enjoyed myself. Needless to say, I took loads of photographs... :) Here are some which you may find interesting.

Looking up into the canopies overhead with the sounds of cars and people muffled into silence, it wasn't too difficult to imagine how New Zealand may have been, long before human settlement... Magical!
Have a lovely week - until next time.
