Cool

Mid winter, overcast skies, frosty mornings and the occasional sunny day...

My latest seedpod is coming along quite well and I may do a watercolour version. It has a slightly furry sage green outer edged in cream and the seeds are shiny and black, which makes for a lovely contrast. :) I'm still trying to work out the tree's name. I've located it in the garden and have been pouring through The Gardener's Encyclopedia of New Zealand Native Plants but I'm still not sure... perhaps a Pittosporum?
